Towing Professionals should have High Visibility Type R, Class 2 or 3 Apparel to comply with ANSI 107-2015 standards. ANSI 107-2015 is a voluntary standard. Type O: Designed for off-roadway and non-roadway use where there is no highway traffic, nor any temporary traffic control zones.

Type R: Designed for occupational day or night visibility improvement for workers that are exposed to the roadway from highway rights of way, temporary traffic control areas or work/construction areas.

Class 2: is best when the worker: Is near traffic traveling in excess of 25 mph but less than 50 mph, or is in inclement weather, or when attention can be deverted from traffic for a short time.

Class 3: is best when the worker: Is near traffic traveling in excess of 50 mph, or must focus attention on work and not traffic.
