Shop coat was similar to what I wore at Boston Trade School in 1967
Heavy duty and protects my clothes so they don’t get wrecked!!

generally a good coat
I ordered this shop coat in Navy Blue. I received an email right away advising that my color selection was out of stock. I was pleased with the choices offered to change color or wait for item to be shipped at a later date or receive a full refund. I opted for a different color and received it in two days. I'd been told that Sullivan is a good company to deal with. My experience bears that out.
Two improvements I would suggest:
Include a method to tighten the cuffs snug around the wrists. Router shavings blow right up the sleeves.
And add another snap at the collar. Chips etc, from saws, lathes and other power tools go right down the front.
Other than these two issues, it is a well constructed garment made of durable fabric. I'm going to enjoy using it.

Almost Perfect Shop Coat
I like to wear "normal" clothes in my workshop, but the sawdust and wood chips get snagged on just about every fabric but denim - especially flannel and sweaters. So I decided to trade my trusty old apron for a shop coat after 40+ years (better late than never). This coat (size XL) is great quality and just the right length for my 6' 2" frame, but was too big in the waist. My wife took in the sides a few inches and now it fits perfect. While she was sewing, she added some knit cuffs from the local fabric store, which help seal my sleeves against dust, and I had her sew the lower pockets (sawdust collectors) shut. Finally, I added one additional snap closure at the top so dust and chips don't go down my neck. Now I have the PERFECT shop coat for woodworking! Chips bounce off and dust shakes out easily. I recommend it for the great price and ease of modifications to suit wood shop uses.

Heavy fabric, durable coat
I sized this coat at a 42 because it was replacing a coat I already had that was size 42. Next time I will go with a size larger, since this coat is a bit small on me. Of course, I could have rejected it and sent it back. I just didn't relish reboxing, remailing, paying for the shipping, and then waiting for the new one to arrive. This is the problem with today's mail ordering. It takes multiple orders, back and forth, until things come out right. I am just getting tired of the process. Sizes are just not standard. This situation is not the fault of Sullivan - the coat is a fine coat and worth the price.
